Terra Gilmore

Terra Gilmore has been managing companies for over 26 years while serving as a military wife. She started managing her first company in Guam and then moved into New Mexico and finally to Virginia. She is the Vice President of the for-profit company, Hillian, Inc which is based in Virginia Beach, VA. She has a BS in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Leadership & Strategy from Western Governors University.

Terra currently serves as the Vice President on the Board of Directors for two women’s nonprofit organizations: The Makeover and Girl, Let’s Talk Girl Talk. Girl Talk has over 3300 members and both organizations focus on the encouragement, support, and uplifting of all women throughout the country: helping women in a variety of ways such as financial assistance, life coaching, resume writing, job interview preparation. The Makeover includes attire, hair, and makeup makeovers for job interviews.

Terra serves as a consultant for a new nonprofit called A Cool Mom which focuses on helping single mothers. She is a published author in an anthology titled, “I Wish I Knew.”

Terra also served as Webmaster for the nonprofit North State Law Enforcement Officers Association from 2013-2018.

Terra has been married for twenty-seven years to Navy veteran, Dominic Gilmore. Dominic is currently self-employed as an Information Technology Specialist. Together they have a beautiful eight-year-old daughter, Trinity who is currently being homeschooled.

Terra and Dominic firmly believe in family, having recently moved their family to Lenoir , NC to help care for her grandmother. Being an aunt of ten nephews, she is aware of the need of an organization like Mentors Inspiring Males for Success, for which she has served in a voluntary capacity with the annual banquets. Terra Gilmore has a servant’s heart which makes her a great fit for M.I.M.S.
