Kenneth Froneberger

Kenneth B Froneberger graduated from Reid High School, Belmont, NC in 1960. He graduated from NCCU in 1964 with a BS degree and in 1978 he received his Masters in education from UNCC and later received his Masters Certification in PE from Winthrop University and UNCG.

Mr. Froneberger taught physical education and health at W.C. Friday Jr. High School in Dallas, North Carolina, where he also was a varsity basketball, football and baseball coach. He was the first black Athletic Director for Gaston County. He served as career, academic and athlete counselor at Ashbrook and Forestview High schools respectively. 

Mr. Froneberger is a member of St. Stephens AME Zion  church where he serves on the steward board, Ministry of Kindness, Sunday school and Bible study.

He is married to Beessie Forney Froneberger and they are the parents of two daughters, Kymme F. Barber(Norvell) and Kenya Froneberger (Pryce). They are the grandparents of Nick, Nigel, Kory,Kendall, Charli and Pryce.
