Jerry Hopper
A Cleveland County native, Jerry Hopper graduated from Gaston College in 1994 earning his AS degree in Human Services. In 1997, he graduated from Gardner Webb University and earned his BS, also in Human Services. He is currently employed with Cleveland Community College where he works in the community recruiting people of all ages.
He helps those that have dropped out of school to return to the college's Adult Learning Program, encouraging them to complete the Adult High school program or work on the High School Equivalency,
Jerry has served on the Greater Gaston YMCA Board and have worked with other non-profit youth program. He loves helping out in the community. He volunteers at a local radio station, where he enjoys one of his hobbies, playing music.
His parents always encouraged him to always look up and to never look down on a person unless you are helping them up.
Jerry is married to Bessie Friday Hopper.
